If you want some directions with screen shots, look in your email for Susie’s email of Oct. 20th. Attached you’ll see several docs, one being directions.
Anyone can go to this blog. But all you tutors (and Sarah), once logged into the system, can write, tag/categorize, edit and delete your own posts.
In order to log in, sign up for a username at the main WordPress.com website. There is no need to sign up for your own blog (unless you want to); you just need to get a username. Once you have one, let Susie know so that she can add you to the list of authors for this blog. Tell her if you used a different email address from your Rollins one; that’s how she searches for your.
Once you are added, you can write posts to the blog via the Tutoring @ TJ’s dashboard (link located at the top of the Tutoring @ TJ’s homepage when you are logged in). Click on the “Write” heading, then “Write Post.“
From there, you can title and write your post (make sure to make use of all the formatting tools at the top of the textbox). After you have finished writing, choose a general category from the list in the “Category” box to the right of the page, then type some tags in the appropriate space under your post, separating multiple tags with commas. These tags should be more specific than the category, referring to courses, books, assignments, topics, etc. found in your post. These will make it easier to reference back to posts by topic later on.
Finally, hit save to make sure your post doesn’t get lost if the electricity goes haywire, then click on publish to send it to the blog.
You can comment on any posts by clicking on the post on the main page, which will bring you to a new page. The box for comments is located under the post selected.
Be aware that, at the moment, this blog is open for public viewing.
